Helen and Jamie’s Wedding at the Four Pillars Hotel CWP

It was a lot of fun photographing Helen and Jamie’s wedding at Holy Trinity Church, Watermoor in Cirencester and then onto the Four Pillars Hotel in the Cotswold Water park. It’s a venue that we know very well and photograph there regularly. The weather was very good for us considering how changeable it’s been over the last few months. We had a few showers, all at exactly the right moment for no one to notice! Perfect!

Helen was getting ready in one of the suites at the CWP, and there was a real sense of peace, in fact probably the most un-stressed vibe of the year! There was an air of excitement, but all in the happy peaceful zone! It was great to see Heidi Vince again as she took care of everyone’s hair, Helen had he nails done at the same time and she didn’t look stressed at all! Everything was running to plan. Heidi did great job with everyone’s hair and made sure everyone looked gorgeous. Once all Helen’s Bridesmaids were in their dresses, had their hair done and make up done, it was soon time for them to leave. Rebecca, Rachael, Jessica and Hannah looked amazing in their matching and contrasting dresses. Before long it was time for Helen to get into her dress. She looked amazing! Debbie (Mum) helped tie up Helen’s lace-up back. It was then time to depart. Helen and Glen travelled in style in a lovely red Beauford Convertible supplied by Satin and Lace Wedding Cars. We made our way through South Cerney and into Cirencester to the very nice Holy Trinity Church, Watermoor. Parking was a little tight as it’s a busy road, but that’s the joy of having two photographers…Dan was already at the ceremony…while I hunted for a legal place to park my car.

There’s nothing quite like an old Anglican Parish church for a wedding ceremony. It’s a combination of Gothic grandeur and Anglican Liturgy. The Rev Penny Light led a very touching wedding service. Vowels were said, rings were exchanged, both Helen and Jamie looked so nervous! There was real emotion there! Before long, their service had concluded with a blessing and Helen and Jamie walked down the aisle together as a couple. Leanne covered their photographs as they exited Holy Trinity church (I got caught up at the back) and we all arranged for a few family formals and then great confetti throwing (well done everyone!) at the gates. This went well and was quite a flurry! The bell ringers of Holy Trinity were in fine form and were ringing as Helen and Jamie got into their Beauford, this time with the roof down. Guests and family cheered and clapped as they departed to the Four Pillars Hotel..sipping a glass or two of Champers as they went! Way to go!

Helen and Jamie arrived at the Four Pillars Hotel in style, canepe’s and drinkies. Soon it was time for their receiving line and  grand entrance to their wedding breakfast. The Four Pillars have a great reputation for attentive service, good food and a well run crew. The room looked amazing too. The Four pillars were again in top form today.  Speeches were at 17:30,  beginning with Glen. His Father of the Bride speech was very short but very warm. Jamie was up next for his Groom’s speech and he was in fine form and was very funny…with a number of very nervous looks as he steered in and out some funny tight spots! Ivor had a tough act to follow with his Best man’s speech, but did so with ease. Witty and very warm, perfectly judged and I think he let Jamie off quite lightly! After retiring for coffee, we managed to get a few large group photos in before everyone dispersed. Their evening guest arrived at around 19:30 and then the party really began! It was a lovely day and a real pleasure to photograph Helen and Jamie’s wedding day.
