Helen and Nick’s Eynsham Hall Wedding

We had a lot of fun photographing Helen and Nick’s great wedding at the Eynsham Hall. As I look over the photographs that we shot, there is a lightness and fun which really summed up their day. The weather pretty good for us, especially considering how bad it had been through the week. We had some stunning moments, and then some bizarre and heavy rain and then back to sunshine again, which made the formals erm slightly worrying for us! We took their large group shot and some small family shots and then the heavens opened and 20 mins later we were back out again for their smaller groups. But the constant change certainly added a bit of variety to their photos.

Helen, Sue, Jan and her four bridesmaids had their hair done at the Junction in Witney. This made an early start for me, but the photos were certainly worth it. There was a lot of gigling going on and the mood was fun. Soon it was time to arrive at Eynsham Hall, an impressive Manor house which has some really nice grounds. Helen and Carrie were getting ready in one of the self contained cottages on the grounds. Soon her dress and flowers arrived and the reality of the moment started to hit home! Helen slipped into her dress and looked amazing. Carrie, Annabel, Annie-Mai and Sophie looked great in their Bridesmaids dresses and soon it was time for them and Jan to depart to the ceremony. We had time for a few shots of Helen with Jan and Steve outside, but soon it was time for Helen to walk over to meet the registra!

We arrived at the registra’s room in good time and soon it was time for Helen and her Bridesmaids to make their grand entrance into the Ceremony suite. The ceremony was a well paced and well ordered event. A sign of experienced registrars. The ceremony was very moving, and many a tear was shed. There were tears of joy and a lot of laughter throughout their ceremony and it was really great to photograph. There was no photographs of signing of their register allowed, which is no problems and easily set up after. Before long, it was time for the very happy couple to walk down the isle hand in hand. A few drinks, canape’s and a bit of chit chat were in order next. Before long we ventured outside for their group shot and a few formal photographs….and then the heavens opened and the first blast of rain had begun. Not that it dampened anyone’s mood…although no one particularly wanted to go out side! 20 mins later and the skies cleared, and sunshine blasted all the wet ground and we continued with their formals. Soon it was time for their receiving line. Service was prompt at 16:30pm and was excellent.

It was a fun day and one filled with all kinds of emotions and a real privilege to photograph.
